Natalie Joseph serves as a Research & Evaluation Associate Consultant at Mirror Group LLC and is passionate about using data to create positive social change. She completed her bachelor's in Biology with a minor in Medical Anthropology from the University of Central Florida and her master's in Public Health from the University of South Florida. With her background in public health and community nonprofits, she has gained extensive experience in evaluating programs' impact, coordinating the implementation of new initiatives, and communicating complex ideas and insights in an easy-to-understand way. Her interests are centered on improving the well-being of families and communities, particularly in terms of social determinants of health. A self-proclaimed data nerd, she believes that data plays a crucial role in addressing these issues and is dedicated to ensuring that data is not only accurate but also meaningful, accessible, and actionable. 

Natalie is the daughter of Caribbean parents who fled their country during a period of turmoil. She has always felt a sense of duality in her life as she is immersed in the rich culture and traditions of her parents' home country while also living a life of privilege in the United States. Being first-generation has given her valuable insights into how people's behaviors and motivations can influence their actions. This has instilled in her a deep sense of empathy and compassion, resulting in a curiosity to understand actions within the context of culture and beliefs. Currently a LEEAD Cohort 5 Scholar, Natalie believes that Culturally Responsive & Racially Equitable Evaluation (CRREE) is not just an approach to be incorporated but a natural embodiment that empowers practitioners to develop empathy with a constructive mindset.

Zimife Umeh is a researcher and consultant specializing in mixed-methods, equity-centered research. She currently serves as Co-Director of Mentorship at the Black & Brown Collective, where she leads training and mentorship programs for emerging scholars focused on community-based violence prevention.

Zimife brings over a decade of experience designing and evaluating programs, conducting qualitative and quantitative research, and guiding data-driven strategy across academic, nonprofit, and consulting settings.
